La Scie Dorée (“The Golden Saw,” in ABCD) is an independent record label founded in 2002 by Timo van Luijk. It serves as a personal and artistic platform through which he releases his solo project Af Ursin, a range of collaborations, and a small number of reissues by artists whose work reflects a shared sensibility.

Operating within the sphere of experimental and introspective music, the label spans acoustic, electronic, and hybrid forms. All releases are issued on vinyl and feature artwork created by the artists themselves, with certain editions assembled by hand.

Beyond its musical output, La Scie Dorée also presents Timo van Luijk’s visual work, including photography, printmaking, and collage, which is frequently integrated into album artwork and design.

In 2007, Timo van Luijk founded the Metaphon label, which presents a curated selection of electronic and instrumental avant-garde works, often by underrecognized composers, primarily from the 20th century. Metaphon also collaborates with composer Michael Ranta to issue archival recordings of his work.

The webshop offers available titles from the La Scie Dorée and Metaphon catalogs, alongside releases by related artists and labels. It also occasionally features rare second-hand items and printed materials, serving as a resource for collectors and listeners seeking less readily available works.
